Based at the multi-million pound Xscape in Milton Keynes, Airkix is the ORIGINAL and BEST indoor skydiving facility. The purpose-built air chamber houses an incredible fan that blasts air at speed of up to 170mph - soar like a bird as your friends watch through the perspex walls. Expert instruction is on hand to assist you and you will be grinning from ear to ear throughout the session, which is the equivalent of three 'regular ' skydives, and there is no going up in a plane to worry about!
Agenda :
You should arrive 30 minutes before your start time. You will have a fun briefing and will receive all necessary instruction. You will learn and practice freefall and body flying techniques. You will get kitted up in flight suit, specialist headgear, goggles, earplugs, knee and elbow pads, before entering the tunnel with your instructor for the first of two one minute 'flights'. You will receive a souvenir DVD recording of your experience. On purchasing this experience you will receive a voucher valid for ten months for one person. Your voucher is valid for bookings Monday-Friday excluding school holidays (school holiday dates are as follows: 16th October 2008 - 2nd November 2008, 15th December 2008 - 7th January 2009, 16th February 2009 - 22nd February 2009, 27th March 2009 - 21st April 2009, 25th May - 31st May 2009 and 6th July - 6th September 2009). You may upgrade to fly at weekends or during the school holiday dates specified for a £24.99 fee (includes a DVD of your flights) payable upon booking. This voucher entitles one person to two flights of one minute each. Maximum weight 18 stone. Minimum age 5 years. For under 18s a parent or guardian will be required to sign a waiver, which can be signed on the day or online in advance. This experience is not suitable for anyone who is pregnant or has ever had a dislocated shoulder. Check with your doctor before participating if you have a history of neck/back/heart problems. You must not be under the influence of alcohol or non-prescription drugs. All necessary equipment is provided. You should wear casual clothes, ideally a t-shirt without a collar and lace-up trainers. Free locker hire is included.
